A Message from Our Director
Welcome to Spotless Mind Mental Health Counseling!
I am so glad you are here. Taking care of your mental health is one of your most important responsibilities! The state of your mental heath not only influences how you think and feel within yourself, but how you perceive, judge or behave in situations and relationships that are important to you!
I know how much a person may be struggling when they make the decision to begin therapy and how many times they've likely been turned away or have gotten no response at all. I am dedicated to leaving no person, couple, or family without access to the mental health care that they need.
As the Director and founder of SMMHC, I am amazed everyday (but not surprised) by our compassionate and skilled counselors and the work they do with their clients! I hope you find the support you are needing here.
Peace and tranquility,
Jenna

I’m passionate about helping those who are looking to better manage feelings of anxiety, panic, and depression by identifying and addressing negative patterns of thought and behavior.

I use an eclectic approach to counseling to explore and implement the most effective treatment on an individual basis. My work focuses on using evidence-based treatment interventions and integrating techniques and skills from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Attachment Theory, and other therapeutic frameworks.

As someone who personally experiences and understands mental health issues, I believe in the power of talk therapy and how it can help people relieve emotional and physical distress and create a stronger sense of self.

Sometimes you may feel stuck, need a little help sorting out your thoughts, or have trouble understanding your emotions, but the good news is you do not have to do it alone.
Mental health affects every part of your life, and I am here to provide a safe, empathetic, and judgement-free space to explore and express what you are experiencing.
It is important to talk about your feelings and experiences, and by examining them together we can address any concerns regarding anxiety, depression, anger, low self-esteem, and compulsions or intrusive thoughts. We can then work on building coping skills to help you deal with life’s stressors along the way.
I collaboratively work with individuals to improve their mental health by utilizing an integrated and evidence-based treatment approach. Psychodynamic talk therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and psychoeducation are just a few of the treatment approaches that I incorporate into my practice, as I believe therapy is not “one size fits all” and should be individualized just for you.
I look forward to helping guide you along your journey to a happier and healthier mental well-being.

I’m so glad you’re here! I want to commend you for taking the first step of looking for counseling services. Reaching out for help is not an easy task, it takes a lot of self-awareness and courage. Coming to therapy can be nerve-racking, so it is my goal to create a space for you to feel safe, where you can be brave to be your authentic self. Life is tough, you are tougher, and together we can practice ways to overcome a variety of life's difficult challenges. In sessions, you can expect me to take a person-centered approach, prioritizing your perspective and experience while working to understand your inner world.

As an EMDR trained therapist, I often use a lens focused on exploring how the past might be impacting the present and identifying the core beliefs we have about ourselves. I also integrate CBT, ACT, and Mindfulness based interventions to create individualized treatment plans collaboratively with each client to help them achieve their unique goals.

My specialties include working with people who have experienced trauma, struggle with anxiety, and hold negative beliefs about the self. One of my favorite quotes is, “The only person you are destined to become is the person you decide to be,” from Ralph Waldo Emerson. You have greatness within, and I would be honored to help you find it.

Do you want to make changes in your life to start living a happier, healthier and more positive
life? If the answer to that question is yes, I am happy to tell you I am here to help!

Throughout my own mental health journey, I was able to reach out to a counselor and learn ways to cope and deal with the emotions and anxiety I was struggling with. This helped me live a happier and more positive life, as well as perform better in athletics (one of the things that brought me into counseling). I love to use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Positive Psychology techniques mixed with evidenced-based interventions from various other treatment modalities. My goal is teach you a variety of helpful tools and skills specific to the issues you are facing.
In the athletic world, Mental Health is often stigmatized. However, professional athletes like tennis player Naomi Osaka and swimmer Michael Phelps, have helped shine a light on mental health. These role models have allowed many athletes to acknowledge and address their mental health issues. These struggles for athletes go all the way down to school and community sports starting at a young age and could create stress, low self-esteem and depression.
Whatever you are going through, I provide a warm, welcoming and non judgmental environment. I want you to know that your feelings are valid and you are safe with me! I hope to meet you and help you accomplish your goals!

Mental health is just as important as our physical health. I believe with the right attention to mental health and self-awareness, we are unstoppable. Exploring your emotions is often a difficult task, so I hope that you are proud of yourself for taking this step. I am happy to listen to every word, story, and emotion without judgement.
Everyone has a life story and I plan to create a warm and welcoming environment so that you feel comfortable enough to share yours. Together we will embrace the tears, the frustration, the laughter, and the hope that comes with the therapeutic journey. There is undeniable strength and resiliency in each of us, so my goal with you in therapy is to help you feel empowered and capable for change.
Therapy is for everyone, but not everyone is for the same therapy. Each session is tailored to your goals and your style. Within each session, we will uncover the root of your struggles and untangle the uncertainty that comes with life’s difficulties. You are not in this alone. I will do my best to provide a safe space for you to share snapshots of your life with me, and together we can create a wholesome and fulfilling perspective on your past and present in order to build your best future.

The body and mind are resilient entities. However, they may often need emotional,
physical, or spiritual attention. Above all, we always need a tender ear to listen. Everyone has a story to tell. My primary focus is to cultivate a safe and warm environment where I can help you find your voice. Together, we can tackle the past,
present, and future. The order doesn’t matter. What is most important is the fact that you have taken the courageous first step toward self-improvement.

It’s often said that growth and comfort don’t share the same room. Well, lucky for you, you don’t have to be in that room alone. Every ounce of anxiety, stress, depression, or
any hindrance that stands in your way, we will tackle together. I can help you navigate the complexities of life in different ways, assess if there are any changes that may need to be made, as well as incorporate new methods to grow in a healthy and positive way. Try to remember, you are allowed to be different than who you once were.
Through this collaborative effort, we will hone in on what you specifically need. No two
people are alike. Therefore, you can count on your mental health journey truly being a unique experience. Every aspect is tailored to your personal needs and goals.
I hope to be a part of the next chapter you choose to write in your story.

Hello! First and foremost, I’d like to honor your strength and courage in prioritizing your mental health and well-being. Regardless of what brought you here, you no longer have to go through it alone. I am dedicated to supporting you on your therapeutic journey in a safe, trusting, and non-judgmental space. I am here to guide you in overcoming mental and emotional barriers and celebrate your progress and accomplishments- all while appreciating the process along the way. Our mental, emotional, and spiritual beings all work in harmony, and it’s important we treat these entities of ourselves with white gloves.
Therapy is inclusive to all populations and communities. Yet, the type of therapy that works for one person may not work for another. I incorporate techniques primarily from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Person-Centered Therapy, and Psychoeducation. However, your individual needs are my priority. Together, we will work to find the most effective & beneficial therapeutic approach for you to achieve your desired goals. This journey may not be short or easy, but I will provide you with appropriate coping skills to alleviate any emotional intensities experienced throughout the process and strategies to maintain your progression.
I believe everyone deserves a listening ear and a nurturing environment to explore who we are beneath the surface, as our problems and concerns do not define us. My goal for you is to become the expert of your own life, the creator of your story, and the best version of yourself. Whether your concerns stem from the past, present, or anticipating the future, you do not need to confront these obstacles alone.
Your resiliency and strength are innate, and I will be by your side to help you embrace these qualities. You are so much stronger than you think you are.
